Project Description:

A project where the practicality becomes the main premise, resolving the entire housing program on the ground floor and responding to municipal regulations by bringing together all the building in the central part of the plot and leaving a front courtyard in the north where the public road is located and another backyard facing south.

The building is resolved volumetrically by means of a simple, horizontal volume that is qualified on the front façade by means of a setback generating an access porch to the dwelling. The kitchen-living room facing the south courtyard has a greater height than the rest of the house, which gives it a more pleasant feeling and a greater prominence than the rest of the house.

The sleeping area is located next to the east party wall, with the master bedroom facing the swimming pool with a fountain in the south courtyard and the rest of the bedrooms facing the north courtyard, concentrating the bathrooms in the central part of the band, which are lit from above by means of skylights.

The living room is flooded with a homogeneous bath of light thanks to the horizontal windows in the upper part of the living room, which are protected from direct sunlight by an overhang on the rear façade that accentuates the difference in height between the living room and the rest of the house.

The anthracite-coloured exterior joinery and the façades clad in porcelain stoneware in two shades, cement grey and oak wood, give the house a calm and elegant character without sacrificing practicality in maintenance and cleaning.
